IT Systems and Support Specialist

Location: Remote (Occasional On-Site Support Required)
Reports To: COO

Role Overview

We are seeking an IT Systems and Support Specialist to oversee the technology infrastructure of our organization, ensuring that our software, hardware, and digital platforms function efficiently and align with our business needs. This role is responsible for troubleshooting IT issues, consolidating and optimizing our software platforms, managing vendor relationships, and supporting team members with system training and issue resolution. The ideal candidate will be proactive, independent, and capable of balancing multiple responsibilities while working collaboratively with the team.

Key Responsibilities

Platform & System Management
  • Manage user setup, account permissions, and system configurations across various platforms.
  • Ensure all software systems are optimized and integrated efficiently to streamline operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues, including access problems, user errors, and system malfunctions.
  • Work closely with software vendors to ensure platforms meet business requirements and escalate unresolved issues.
  • Maintain, update, and improve software systems to enhance usability and efficiency.
IT Support & Troubleshooting
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal IT support, resolving technical issues promptly.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including laptops, printers, internet connectivity, and system applications.
  • Manage hardware procurement, setup, and distribution (laptops, monitors, accessories, etc.).
  • Provide remote and occasional in-person troubleshooting as needed.
  • Ensure cybersecurity best practices are followed to maintain data security and compliance.
Vendor & Project Management
  • Work with software vendors and service providers to address technical concerns and ensure system reliability.
  • Facilitate vendor meetings (e.g., Zoom troubleshooting sessions) to resolve software and system issues.
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate technology platforms and reduce redundancy.
  • Assist in the implementation and adoption of new IT solutions that align with company needs.
Training & Documentation
  • Train employees on new and existing software systems to improve efficiency and adoption.
  • Maintain documentation for IT processes, system guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Provide IT onboarding for new employees, ensuring they have access to necessary platforms and tools.

Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a related role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software issues.
  • Ability to coordinate with software vendors and manage technical escalations.
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting cloud-based platforms and applications.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and spreadsheet management for operational reporting.
  • Excellent communication and training skills to support team members with IT-related needs.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple demands and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team while also taking ownership of IT-related tasks.
  • Flexible and adaptable, capable of handling shifting priorities and troubleshooting under pressure.

Preferred:

  • Experience in home health care, healthcare administration, or a related industry.
  • Knowledge of compliance and security best practices in IT systems.
  • Experience implementing IT process improvements and platform integrations.
