Role Overview
We are seeking a Quality, Process, and Compliance Specialist to ensure operational excellence by maintaining high standards for quality, regulatory compliance, and efficient processes. This role focuses on monitoring workflows, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing process improvements to enhance service delivery and compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled in both compliance management and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Monitor and ensure compliance with state, federal, and industry regulations, including DHS requirements and audit preparedness.
- Maintain a compliance calendar to track regulatory deadlines, reporting requirements, and internal audits.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments, identifying areas of non-compliance and recommending corrective actions.
- Serve as the primary liaison for external audits, working closely with auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Keep up to date with changing regulations and communicate necessary adjustments to leadership and staff.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are well-documented, accessible, and consistently followed.
Process Improvement & Workflow Optimization
- Assess and document existing workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement process enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure policies and procedures align with compliance standards while remaining practical and effective.
- Work with the IT team to integrate automation and improve compliance-driven processes.
- Establish metrics and reporting tools to track workflow efficiency and compliance adherence.
Training & Documentation
- Develop compliance training programs for employees to reinforce regulatory standards and best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for workflows, compliance requirements, and internal procedures.
- Provide ongoing support and training to staff regarding compliance, process improvements, and quality standards.
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in compliance, quality assurance, process improvement, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, especially in home care, healthcare, or a similar field.
- Experience conducting internal audits, compliance reviews, and process evaluations.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to assess and improve workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and training skills to effectively implement changes and educate staff.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects to completion.
Preferred:
- Experience in home health care, healthcare administration, or a regulated industry.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with compliance software and reporting tools.
