Since the founding of our Minnesota home care agency, we strive to provide the highest level of expertise and support to every client, PCA, and family caregiver we meet. Our team brings decades of combined experience in home care management and administration, allowing us to improve the client-caregiver relationship through digital timesheets, PCA certifications and training, online resources and tutorials, and much more.
Andre's unique career encompasses over 20 years in leadership and management, enriched by a decade of legal expertise. His dedication to enhancing home care is deeply influenced by his commitment to health and wellness, a principle reinforced by his meditation practice. Andre believes in creating a harmonious balance between accessible, convenient services for home care recipients and fair treatment for caregivers, inspired by insights gained from his lived experience. Beyond his professional life, Andre nurtures his well-being through reading, music, Tai Chi, and exploring new cultures and landscapes, reflecting his holistic approach to life and work.
Leann brings over 20 years of extensive leadership experience in marketing, brand strategy, and the home care industry to the Best Care team, where she focuses on daily operations and a commitment to client needs and caregiver dynamics. With a fourteen-year tenure in the field, she has personally managed numerous client interactions and service enhancements, gaining a deep understanding of industry nuances. Leann leads our brand and communications efforts, ensuring a client-centric approach that prioritizes educating families about home care. Her strong leadership ensures that we effectively solve challenges faced by clients and caregivers alike. Outside of work, Leann is passionate about family, photography, and travel adventures.
Kimberly comes to Best Care with over 20 years of office management and employee relations experience. She joined the team because she is passionate about working for a company that invests in making the lives of others better. When not working, Kimberly enjoys watching her kids play hockey, spending time with family and friends, live music, and gardening.
Bethany brings experience across multiple roles to Best Care. She worked in clerical positions, as a behavioral therapist, and completed three human resources internships throughout college to fund her bachelor's degree. (She recently graduated!) Raised in a family of teachers, Bethany is passionate about the transformative power of learning. She believes that sharing knowledge and connecting people to resources is vital—even in workplaces that aren’t classrooms. In her free time, she enjoys running, swimming, reading, and drinking what her friends call “too many” cups of coffee.
Amanda's journey with Best Care started in April, 2010. With over 30 years of office experience, she brings a mix of dedication and compassion to help people obtain the services they need to live comfortably in their homes. The journey goes on as she continues to use the knowledge she's gained to help others.
Jill comes to Best Care with 10 years of experience working within the social services field. Jill prioritizes positive customer service and values working within a strong, team driven environment. When not working, Jill loves spending time with her husband, her fur-baby Champ and her family and friends. Throughout the year you can find her playing indoor and sand volleyball, nose deep in a good book or stressing out watching our dear old Timberwolves, Twins or Vikings.
Adam has worked with individuals with disabilities since 2010. From being a behavior therapist at an autism center to working as an FMS coordinator, he now joins Best Care as part of the Program Support Team. Adam has a strong passion for working with people with disabilities and find it extremely rewarding making a difference in people’s lives. Outside of the office, Adam loves spending time with his wife and son heading up north to the lake.
Michele comes to Best Care with over 25 years working in the social services profession. She started working at a group home with vulnerable adults, teaching daily living skills and then spent several years in a vocational setting working with people with disabilities and the community to work and live together. Michele’s last position was a PCA agency assisting support to children, adolescents, adults and families who need help in their homes for a loved one with a disability or an older adult. Her spare time
is spent enjoying time with her family, dog, cats and traveling.
Shannon has 20 years of experience providing direct care for children and young adults with special needs. In addition, Shannon has 10 years of direct customer service experience, including intake services for the PCA Choice program. Shannon enjoys gardening and meditation, spending time with friends and family, travelling and live music.
Lando started with Best Care in 2022. He has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and worked in community corrections for several years assisting clients with rehabilitation in their life. Lando worked with Home Electronic Monitoring & Drug Coordination. Lando is committed to working with people to ensure customer satisfaction. He will go above expectations to ensure your needs are met. He is compassionate and will make your journey into Best Care welcoming. When Lando is away from work he enjoys the simple life, playing video games, cooking, and watching the news.
Meet Katie Logan, the devoted fur mom of two German Shepherds, Annie Fo Fanny and Darius. With 20 years of experience in the healthcare field, caring for her mother, Katie is a compassionate soul both to humans and her furry companions. When she's not tending to her dogs or spreading love in healthcare, you can find her unwinding at the lake, where the tranquility of the water mirrors the peace she brings to all around her. A healer by profession, a dog enthusiast by heart, Katie's journey is a beautiful symphony of caregiving and canine camaraderie.
Krista joins Best Care with 5 years of experience in the home care industry. She started her journey in HR, working with clients and their employees, and then worked as a recruiter for the past three years. Krista is motivated by helping others and is excited to bring that mindset to Best Care. In her free time, she enjoys trying new restaurants with her husband, watching Dateline, hanging out with friends, and spending time with her two cats.
Sheng comes to Best Care with over 20 years of customer service experience. She has a strong dedication to maintaining client and customer satisfaction while assisting in the improvement of business operations. Sheng is known for her adaptability, efficiency, and ability to meet demanding objectives. She is also strongly committed to service excellence and team collaboration. In her spare time, Sheng enjoys spending time with her 2 teenage children and litter of Pomeranians.
Karson has over 6 years of experience in the PCA world; starting as a Billing Specialist, then a Communication Specialist, and now on Best Care’s Payroll team. Having both behind the scenes roles along with front line customer service positions, Karson is excited to use these skills to help our clients and caregivers have the best experience possible. Karson enjoys playing soccer, snowboarding, and spending time with his family and friends.
Betsy came to Best Care after working in a variety of settings: banking, insurance, retail and education. She appreciates that Best Care practices putting people first. Her educational background includes a BA in sociology and classical voice from Luther College in Decorah, IA and a Masters of Divinity from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, CA. When she is not working, she is fueled by creative projects, especially writing. She likes finding new places to explore, especially when browsing an independent bookstore or walking by a body of water is involved.
Joy began her career in the financial industry as an underwriting assistant, where she supported underwriters by gathering and analyzing data to assess risks and determine appropriate coverage. Over time, Joy transitioned into human resources and eventually focused on payroll. She is currently back in school, pursuing an accounting degree to further enhance her skills and knowledge. During Joy’s free time, she enjoys hiking with her dog and exploring various state parks across Minnesota.
Abby joined Best Care in 2024. She brings with her a variety of experience from auditing, to campaign work, ultimately transitioning to the healthcare sector. Her problem-solving skills and attention to detail make her a perfect fit for resolving clients and caregivers needs. She enjoys making people smile and helping however she can. In her free time, she enjoys going to music festivals and spends her energy working out or going on fun adventures!
Sharon joined Best Care in 2024 and has accumulated several different skills, because of her willingness to learn different job responsibilities. Her experiences assist her in her ability to plan and organize, prioritize multiple duties and responsibilities as well as maintain professional composure while dealing with a variety of personalities and situations. On her free time, she enjoys crafting, cooking, and singing.
With over a decade of experience in the staffing industry, Becky joins Best Care as a results-oriented professional dedicated to continuous improvement. Her expertise lies in refining processes to ensure every goal is met with maximum efficiency. She has a proven track record of identifying business needs and leveraging resources to implement strategic solutions. Outside of work, Becky enjoys home projects, gardening, and fishing.
With 25 years of experience, Lisa has built her career across the finance and technology sectors. She started in Technical Support and advanced through roles in Business Analysis and Project Management at an investment company. This experience gave her a strong foundation in managing complex projects and analyzing business needs. More recently, she has worked in payroll, focusing on creating efficient and effective processes. In her free time, she enjoys searching for vintage treasures, working on her eBay business, and spending time with family and friends
Chris has 10 years of experience in payroll. He is passionate about working for organizations that help people to live a higher quality of life. Chris comes to us from the non-profit world: his last position was at an organization that fights homelessness. Away from work he enjoys walking, exercising, and spending time with family. Chris loves listening to jazz music.
Natalie is a licensed social worker who comes to Best Care with over 9 years of experience in the homecare field. Her previous roles have included Qualified Professional, Aging Services Social Worker and Designated Coordinator. She is also a Certified Caregiver Consultant and is trained in evidence-based dementia care approaches. She is currently pursuing her master’s in public health and is trained as a community health worker. She is passionately committed to helping clients remain in their communities and advocating for systemic change in the ongoing progress towards greater health equity.
Jessica joins the Best Care team with over 10 years of experience managing group homes. With 15 years of direct care support for people with disabilities, she is passionate about taking care of others and helping them succeed in life. She is fluent in 245D, a qualified designated coordinator, and comfortable handling licensing requirements and compliance. In her free time, she loves being active outside, spending time with family and friends, and always has crochet projects going.
Liz has spent the last seven years in the PCA and 245D world. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a minor in criminal justice and social work. Liz is passionate about making a positive difference in the world. She found her passion for making a difference during her time with AmeriCorps where she traveled around the U.S. serving areas of high needs. In her personal time Liz enjoys experiencing new cultures and foods by way of travel.
Maggie is a licensed social worker and has spent most of her career working in home care, from group homes, to PCA and 245D. She loves making connections with families and building strong working relationships with them and their staff. In her free time, Maggie enjoys being with her 4 kids and dog, spending time with close friends, teaching and practicing yoga, and sharing humor and peace with people she encounters.
Dawn has been employed with Best Care since 2014. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, crochet and reading. She has a BA in Biology and a BS in Computer Science. Dawn has 3 kids and 1 cat.
Danielle Dohmeier is a licensed social worker with more than 20 years in the social services profession. She has experience providing services to individuals from a variety of cultural and ethnic background. She believes that strong communities begin with strong relationships. As a case manager with Best Care she appreciates the opportunity to work directly with clients in a sensitive and competent manner.
Becky started with Best Care in 2022. Becky is a licensed social worker with several years’ experience working with individuals and families. She spends time volunteering doing various things in the community. She enjoys spending time with family, friends, hiking, traveling, biking, watch movies and explore and try new things. She is passionate about helping people reach their goals.
Noel’s journey began in 1989 as a PCA and has enjoyed working as an RN in a variety of health care environments for 18 years. She believes in educating and supporting people’s strengths in order to help them thrive independently in their home. She’s passionate about speaking Spanish, nutrition and world travel.
Andrea is a Registered Nurse with 20 years in healthcare working in a variety of settings, many of those years were spent in leadership, as well as working in dialysis, in long term care, and in cardiac care. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Business Administration as well as an Associate’s degree in Information Technology. She absolutely loves working for Best Care and connecting with clients to ensure they are living the best possible life they can. When she is not working, she spends time with her husband, 3 children and 2 dogs. With an active life of sports you can find her and her husband co-coaching the kids hockey, softball, baseball and soccer teams. When spare time is available, she can be found camping, catching up with shows on Netflix with a glass of wine, putting together puzzles or playing games, and spending time with friends and family.
Ophelia has been working in health care for the past 15 years, she has worked in variety of health settings; as DSP, CNA and now as an RN. Most of her background is working in a leadership role within psych nursing and home care. Her love and compassion for helping others have led her into home care, she enjoys the 1:1 connection with her clients. She obtained her BSN in 2021 and is currently looking to obtain her Masters in Psych nursing. Ophelia enjoys time with her family, and religion is very important to her.
April comes to Best Care with over 25 years of experience in the social services profession. She is very passionate and dedicated to helping clients advocate for the care and services they need. April appreciates the opportunity to work with various cultures and diverse populations. Most of her time outside of work is spent following her two sons in traveling sports. She is also a big animal lover and owns 6 pets!
Peter comes to Best Care with over 9 years working in the social services profession. He started working in a juvenile facility assisting young people with obtaining life skills and then worked a few years assisting people with disabilities in finding and maintaining competitive employment. Peter most recently worked as a Service Coordinator assisting families enrolled in either FMS or PCA Choice programs. His spare time is spent with his wife and three cats, good friends, reading spiritual books, and working out.
Amillia is a Registered Nurse and Public Health Nurse who joins the Best Care team with over 7 years of nursing experience. Her nursing background includes: hospital medical surgical nursing, assisted living group home clinical supervision, long term care nursing, and independent contracting work performing long term care assessments. She is also a certified Regenerative Health Practitioner and is passionate about natural healing modalities. She is invested in advocating for families and individuals, empowering through education and a solutions-based approach. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in nature, gardening, dancing, and savoring time with her family.
Dawn is a registered nurse with more than 12 years’ experience in a variety of healthcare settings. She spent several years serving as a nurse leader for a large home care agency and enjoys working with clients and families in their homes. When not working, she enjoys watching her kids play hockey, paddle-boarding, long walks with her springer spaniel named Finnegan and spending time with family and friends.
Tami is a Licensed Social Worker and joins the Best Care team with 15 years in the social service industry. Tami has experience with individuals and families across a variety of different settings including clinics, nursing homes, in home care and waiver management. She believes continued learning is an asset and enjoys learning. When not at work Tami loves to go camping, travel and hike with her friends and family. Her family consists of a big household. Her husband, 7 kids, 5 dogs, 2 cats and a bearded dragon named Barry Manilow.
After earning her Bachelor of Social Work degree, Kellie worked in social services and joined Best Care in January of 2025. Kellie brings a compassionate, person-centered approach to her work. During her time in school, she gained valuable experience as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), which helped her develop hands-on-skills in providing individualized care and support to families. Her passion for helping others is driven by a deep understanding of social work and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those she serves.
Ines is a registered nurse with over 37 years of experience across a wide range of healthcare settings. She has dedicated her career to caring for others with compassion, empathy, and a dep love for people. Ines finds joy in listening and connecting with clients. She also has two grown kids who she is very proud of and a dog named Charly who keeps her very busy and brings a lot of joy to her life!
Kristi obtained her BAN at St.Olaf College and has over 32 years of RN experience with the majority of her focus being in homecare. Her nursing philosophy is to “journey with” her clients and their families with empathetic care while being a strong advocate for their needs. She enjoys reading, music and practicing yoga and meditation along with looking to have frequent episodes of belly laughter. Kristi has been married to her best friend Rick for over 3 decades, she has 2 incredible adult daughters of whom she is extremely proud and she adores her 16-year-old mini golden doddle Kalia.
Kelly is a registered nurse with over 25 years of experience across a wide range of healthcare settings. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing and brings a compassionate, person-centered approach to her work. She is committed to partnering with clients and their families to create a supportive environment that enhances their well-being and independence at home. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 children. She also enjoys spending time in nature, gardening, going for walks and reading.
Raina has 20 years of experience as a Fiscal Service Coordinator with participant-directed programs (CDCS, CSG, and Veteran Directed HCBS). As a lead staff, she consults on policies and service delivery. She provides support to participant employers and their representatives; and attends local and national meetings and conferences. She manages a caseload and supports other teams as the FMS subject matter expert.
Tony has worked with participated directed programs for over 10 years. He has most recently worked as a waiver case manager in southern Minnesota. In the past, he’s worked with adults with disabilities in group home settings and as a job coach, teaching employment skills. He currently lives in southern Minnesota with his wife and children and enjoys biking, running, movies and camping with family. Tony enjoys helping people find answers and delivering great customer service.
I have worked in the FMS world for close to 4 years. In the past I have worked in management running a staffing agency and various customer service roles through the years. My main goal is to give the best possible experience to not only our clients, families, but everyone one in the social services world. I have one son and we are avid travelers who enjoy spur of the moment road trips. I am looking to expand my knowledge base in this field so I can be the best possible resource for everyone I have the privilege to help improve their quality of life.
Kathy has over 15 years of experience with consumer directed services. Before that she worked in vocational and residential services for people with various abilities. Kathy understands that caregivers have a lot to manage and wants to help make the process as smooth as possible. She and her husband are empty nesters who are enjoying their adult children and grandchildren. Kathy enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, and caring for her fur babies.
Heather has 18 years of experience in the human services industry. She spent almost 12 years working at a Day Training & Habilitation center, where she primarily supported individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease and other brain injuries. She started as a Service Coordinator and later moved into management. Heather has spent the past 6 years supporting clients within the FMS program. She is passionate about advocating for her clients and families to ensure they are receiving the best possible services. Heather enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, travelling the world, and spending time on the lakes in the summer.
Kyle has over 10 plus years of experience in the human services field. He spent 6.5 years working at a Day Training and Habilitation center and the past 4 years at another FMS company. He started as an Intake/ Service Coordinator and later moved to a supervisory position for over a year. He strives for great customer service and is passionate about being person-centered. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, going on walks, listening to music, theatre, and binging tv shows
Maxine has a diverse accounting background, including several years working with participant-directed programs. She provides accounting/payroll oversight for FMS processes while helping support clients and their caregivers. She cherishes time spent with her family and enjoys baking, playing games, and listening to music.
Pamela comes to Best Care with experience as a self-employed CPA in northern Minnesota and has 7 years’ experience as a Billing Specialist for agencies providing home-based and community services. While familiar with accounting and payroll processes, Pamela is new to FMS and is looking forward to supporting her team, clients, and caregivers alike.
When not at work, Pamela enjoys reading, DIY and home décor, and has recently delved into beginner’s woodworking projects. Time spent at the lake or at home with family are precious and she lives by the motto “Be True, Be Brave, Be Strong”!
Jackie joins Best Care with 5 years of experience in the home healthcare field. She’s served in several roles, starting as a PCA fresh out of college before transitioning to administrative roles for the last three and a half years working to serve others who are providing care to their clients. She graduated from Augsburg University with a B.A. with an interdisciplinary focus in English and GSWS. Her passion is serving underserved communities and she is driven by accessibility for all. Outside of work, you can catch her with her rescue dog, Ludo, living in the south metro area. She enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, board games, and a nice cup of tea.
Rosalia comes to Best Care with 25 years in the service industry and 3 years of experience in the FMS world. She has close ties to both utilizing services and being part of the provider process. She uniquely understands the needs and importance of providing exceptional service to all, especially to those most in need. She lives in the Northwest Metro area and enjoys being out experiencing life to the fullest.
Amanda joined Best Care bringing a background of billing experience in the Mental Health field. She has a degree in Business Management along with Graphic Design. In her spare time, she enjoys staying active, traveling, and taking photos.
Heather comes to Best Care with over 14 years of billing experience in the home care industry. She has a degree in Business Management and is passionate about all things related to billing. When she is not working, she loves to hang out with family and friends, decorate her home, and be on the lake. She and her husband have three sons.
Angel went to school for dental assisting and found herself billing for oral surgery services upon graduation. She transitioned to mental health services and eight years ago found herself in the home care field continuing in billing. Angel enjoys reading and farming with her husband and son. In her free time, she likes to ride her horses and spend time with her animals.
Kirstin is a dedicated billing specialist with 14 years of experience, having built her way up starting in interpretation services before transitioning into PCA and Home and Community Based Services.
When Kirstin is not working, she recharges by spending quality time with her family, friends, and her two energetic dogs. Kirstin is happiest outdoors at her cabin.
